Brief:
Design an area to include 20 workstation locations with separate sales office to accommodate four personnel within the footprint of the existing office.
Use imaginative decor to create impression of space and promote staff motivation.

Due to continued growth Wavelength increased their number of telephone support staff from 12 to 20 already short of office space they turned to Cubex to help them resolve the issue.

Before:
» Partitions used to sub divide office limit effective use of space.

Cubex put forward a proposal to clear the larger office area to make way for twenty operator workstations leaving the smaller office for the Sales Department. All interior surfaces were refurbished to give a dynamic and lively feel to the environment.

After:
» Open spacious environment with storage facilities all below desk height promoting the feeling of open space.
» Lighting upgraded to meet current work practice standards.
» All electrical services routed through floor trunking removing trailing cables.
» Larger desk areas provided by extending desktops over storage areas.
» New carpeting, ceiling tiles. Ash doors and wall covering bring a fresh Mediterranean feel to the decor.
By using space planning skills Cubex were able to fit 8 more operators into an area that already appeared overcrowded yet still provide an environment that gave each operator increased workspace. The works were programmed so that the project could be completed in two phases the main office area was made ready first, then staff relocated from the smaller office area enabling it to be refurbished. All work was undertaken without disruption to the clients business.
