Ceiling Solutions

Transform your workspace from top to bottom!

Ceiling Solutions

Commercial ceilings help create an enclosure and separation between spaces, controlling the diffusion of light and sound around a room.

Choosing your style of ceiling is more important than you might think, not least because it protects and conceals any electrical and plumbing systems above, but it can be fire resistant rated too!

From an aesthetics perspective, a high ceiling can make a room feel more spacious, while low ceilings can make an office feel far more snug.  What will you choose for your commercial office refurbishment?

Psst! Have you tried our Project Estimator?  You can get a ballpark figure for your bespoke project, helping you to plan, prepare and budget.

Suspended Ceilings

Suspended ceilings are a cost-effective way of giving your premises a clean and smooth finish to the internal ceiling of a room, hiding messy cables and pipework which, in turn, enhances the rooms aesthetics.  Plus, suspended ceilings also enhance acoustics and provide thermal insulation.  Pretty great, right?

The tiles used for your commercial suspended ceiling may be manufactured from materials such as mineral fibre, metal, plasterboard and laminates, and are often perforated to provide specific levels of acoustic absorption that can be used to control the reverberation time in the space below.

Suspended ceilings can also be fire rated, making them the go-to choice for a new mezzanine floor installation.  Installing fire rated ceiling tiles along with column casements and bulkheads will ensure your mezzanine complies with building regulations regarding fire protection.

Metal Frame Plasterboard Ceilings

On the other hand, metal frame (MF) plasterboard ceilings offer a high level of design flexibility whilst giving a smoother, more contemporary finish to your office.  They work really well with spot lighting, particularly within reception areas.

MF plasterboard ceilings are made up of concealed grid works with plasterboards and acoustic ceiling boards that work together to create flat and curved ceilings with a seamless, rigid appearance.  They are constructed from a metal frame to which plasterboard is then affixed, making them non load bearing.

MF plasterboard ceilings are popular because they are affordable and versatile, and combine the durability of metal with the flexibility of plasterboard.

Workplace Fit Outs and Refurbishments

We’ve got a question for you… Are you using all of your commercial space to its full potential?  No?  Don’t worry, we can help!

Changing business needs make it challenging to control space and utilise it effectively, but Cubex Contracts have over 25 years’ experience creating additional space within existing workspaces by installing a variety of fit out and refurb services, not just commercial ceilings!

Mezzanine Flooring Installation: Office mezzanines are an additional level installed in a building to provide more space to operate from – think of it as a ‘‘floor between floors.”

Partitioning: Many employees have a tough time concentrating in an open office.  This creates the need for smaller, quieter and private spaces.  Here at Cubex Contracts, we specialise in an array of partitioning systems including composite, glazed, sliding, stud and jumbo stud

Flooring: The flooring in your office has the power to transform the overall look and feel of a space.  From an oak-effect vinyl to a stunning-coloured carpet tile, each style offers its own practicalities and benefits.

Space Planning: There are many benefits to taking a strategic approach to space management including reducing vacant space, saving operational costs and improving staff collaboration.  Not to mention the storage, security and sound attenuation benefits too.

Decorating: As part of all commercial fit out and refurbishment projects, Cubex include all painting and decorating works within our initial design proposals.

Office Furniture: Our office furniture selection has something on offer for every style and budget.  Click here to download our brochure and browse our range of contemporary office solutions today.

There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to a workplace refurbishment.  In fact, the cost of an office or warehouse fit out differs from project to project as no two workspaces are the same, and customer requirements always differ too.

If you’re considering a workplace refurb for your office or industrial unit, why not try our Project Estimator to better determine the cost of your project?  Or better yet, get in touch to arrange a site visit and we’ll provide you with a precise quote that will tick all of your space needs boxes.

By the way, many companies prefer to spread the cost of their workplace refurbishment project over a period of time, rather than take a hit on the upfront capital cost. That’s why we work with a specialist leasing company to give our customers the flexibility of options. If you think you might be interested in a lease option, let us know and we can liaise with our chosen lease company at quotation stage.
